As part of the first annual Queens Book Festival, Bill will discuss religious memoirs with Jayanti Tamm, author of Cartwheels in a Sari. From the panel description: "Religion. The establishment takes on a surrogate role in the lives of millions. It creates the foundation for moral, identity and formation. What happens when this pillar is stripped away and is the blow of the dagger even more piercing when it comes from you...?"

The Queens Book Festival takes place all day on the grounds of the historic Kaufman Astoria Studios. Admission is free. The "Journeys of the Self" panel takes place at 2:00 pm.
