I went to the post office on 34th Street between Park and Lex this morning to mail some parcels overseas. I had forgotten that today is Tax Day, and that a decree had gone out from Caesar Georgius that all the world must come unto the USPS to tax the postal workers. I didn't expect the place to be nearly so crowded at that time of the morning, but the nice thing was that there were about three times more clerks working than I've seen there in a long time and the line moved very quickly. If only every day were Tax Day.
