It's starting to look safe to say that there's a public reading in my near future. Ellen Datlow has asked me to read in the KGB Science Fiction series at KGB Bar in the East Village. (Huge thanks to Rick Bowes for putting the bug in her ear.) The reading—my participation in which I'm still cautiously regarding as tentative, recalling what happened last time I was scheduled to do one of these—will be July 17th, and the bill will be headlined by China Miéville, author of the hugely popular and Hugo-nominated Perdido Street Station. I would guess that between his fans and my coworkers past and present, the house will be packed. I'm hoping to read from Missionary Man.
Also, an appearance on Jim Freund's radio show "Hour of the Wolf" on WBAI could be coming up in the next couple of months. I'm supposed to call him about it this afternoon. More details on both events as they're available.
