Okay, I've got the editing all done. I'm down to 8,000 words—that's 28 manuscript pages. When I practiced Saturday, I made it to the middle of page 29 in exactly 40 minutes, so I'm bumping up against the upper limit, but I think it'll be okay. I'm much happier now with the shape of the pieces than I was on Saturday. Both of them had science-fictional motifs, so I think this will work well.

Now to kill the rest of the day. I guess I should get some real work done now.
