If you're going to be in New York City on July 17th, please drop by and see me in the Fantastic Fiction Reading Series at KGB. The series, curated by Terry Bisson and Ellen Datlow, showcases two science fiction writers each month. I will be reading from my memoir MISSIONARY MAN.
Wednesday, July 17th
7:00 pm @ KGB
85 East 4th Street, 2nd Floor
between Bowery and 2nd Avenue
The top half of the bill is the hugely popular British SF writer China Miéville, whose novel PERDIDO STREET STATION is currently nominated for a Hugo Award. He'll be reading from his new novel THE SCAR. His fans are legion and KGB ain't that big, so come early if you want a seat. It's a bar and the drinks are cheap, in case you needed any additional inducement.
I'd like to give China's audience a run for its money, so please come and bring your friends too. Also, anyone who buys one of my T-shirts at http://www.cafepress.com/inhumanswill and wears it to the reading will get a free copy of my first book. Er, when it comes out. Someday. I won't forget. I promise.
I'll send out another notice the week before the reading, but mark your calendars now! I hope to see you all there.
